We have the final details of the event ready.
The 10 Year Reunion for the Grayslake Community High School Class of 1998 will be at Jesse Oaks in Wildwood on October 4th, 2008 officially from 5:00 PM until 8:30 PM. We will be in the Leine Lodge at Jesse Oaks and a local band will begin playing at 9:00 PM and after that they will ask for a $5 cover to hear the band if you want to stay in the lodge. If you want to stay at Jesse Oaks and enjoy their large outdoor bar/patio area, there is no additional charge.
The cost for the reunion gala will be $20 per person in advance and $25 per person at the door. There will not be a sit down dinner but there will be a large selection of appetizers and bar type food to fill up on and our own cash bar in the lodge. Once the menu is finalized it will be posted.
We will be having a family picnic at Central Park on Sunday for all of us to relax with our families in an outdoor environment. We are asking $5 for food and drinks per person and for everyone to bring a dish to pass.
We can play softball, frisbee or other games at the park and have a jolly good time.
Homecoming Football Game
The homecoming football game is on Friday October 3rd at 7:30 PM at the high school. We will be announced at the game.
Friday Night Social
People can gather at Last Chance Bar & Saloon on Friday night after the game to get the weekend started right. There will be no official area set aside unless we want to try and reserve the basement or back room. This is the traditional homecoming reunion destination so it will be packed with GCHS alumni!
Homecoming Parade
The Homecoming Parade is on Saturday around 10:00 AM (I have to confirm this.) At this point we do not have a float planned, but if there is interest we can investigate this option.
School Tour
There will be a school tour offered at some point in the weekend. At this point we are not sure if it will be on Friday night or Saturday afternoon.
To pay for any of the fee events please visit our reunion payment page.
